Ali represents the NFU in our area and works on her family farm and is the seventh generation to do so.
She will tell us about the changes her family have seen over many years and then move on to the challenges facing farming and farmers today, including the change in support payments away from a land or area-based system to one of ‘public goods’. Schemes such as rewilding, sustainability, and the costs pressures farmers face when consumers are very price sensitive will be explored
